Senior Design & Development Manager – BlackStrap

Projects will be updated when public. Here's an overview of how I work.

At BlackStrap, I lead product design and development across mountain, ski, and snow, helping expand the brand from its roots in balaclavas and hoods into a broader performance line that includes apparel, baselayers, gloves, and gaiters. My role moves between setting product direction and getting into the details: materials, construction, fit, costing, and manufacturing. Vendor and process improvements I've driven have reduced delivery timelines by about 60 days.

I work directly with mills and factory partners in the U.S. and Asia, including regular international travel to support material development, product refinement, and production. I stay involved throughout the process, from early concepts and material selection through prototypes, revisions, costing, and production. I look forward to sharing more about the work, process, and challenges behind these products in conversation.
